ADDENDUM: YEAR UPDATED SLIGHTLY. UNCONFIRMED IF JERSEY WAS WORN EXCLUSIVELY DURING HIS 1985 HEISMAN SEASON. AUBURN WORE BOTH TRADITIONAL NYLON AND MESH NYLON FABRIC (FEATURED HERE) JERSEYS DURING BO'S COLLEGE CAREER, ACCORDING TO PHOTOS FROM 1983-85.

Bo Jackson was, simply put, one of the most electrifying running backs in college football history. Though he went on to gain fame as an NFL player with the Los Angeles Raiders, it was in college (1982-85) where Jackson’s name became synonymous with football. As a bruising ground-gainer at Auburn, Jackson turned in one of my most memorable seasons in the annals of college football in 1985. He not only led the Tigers to an 8-4 overall record, but he also rushed for a career-best 1,786 yards and 17 touchdowns. For his outstanding efforts, he was named the winner of the prestigious Heisman Trophy. This is Jackson’s game-worn and autographed Auburn home jersey that dates from his sophomore 1983 season to his 1985 Heisman season as a senior. The No. 34 mesh nylon Russell Athletic jersey (size 46) show plenty of game wear with paint transfer scrapes, tears and a lot of fraying in several areas. Jackson has also signed in blue his name and number (34) across the No. 4 on the front of the jersey. For any SEC football fan, this is truly a treasure to behold. For all you Tiger fans out there, War Eagle!
