From the great Steve Garvey, the heart and soul of the legendary Dodgers ball clubs in the 1970’s, comes this handsome home jersey. In a 19-year career from 1969-87, Garvey was one of the top performers in the National League, earning 10 All-Star nods, four Gold Gloves and the 1974 Most Valuable Player Award. This jersey traces its roots to 1982, Garvey’s last of 14 seasons in Dodger Blue, yet another standout season where he batted .282 with 16 homers and 86 RBI. Five years later he would retire, bowing out with typically Cooperstown-worthy numbers of a .294 lifetime average, 2,599 hits and 272 home runs. This white button-down knit jersey features "Dodgers" across the chest in blue tackle twill. Garvey’s No. 6 has been stitched to the front left and back red (front) and blue-on-white (back) tackle twill and his name appears across the back in Dodger blue-on-white tackle twill. The appropriate W. Goodman & Sons (Size 44) tagging appears at the back of the collar. Garvey has added a handsome black Sharpie autograph beneath the “Dodgers” lettering on the front. Jersey shows game use, with virtually no fraying of the delicate blue and red stitching front and back and is problem-free and without alteration of any description.
