Here then is an important artifact from 300-game winner and Hall of Famer Gaylord Perry as he approached the end of his fabled career. This v-neck white pullover, knit garment features "Mariners" across the chest in blue-on-yellow-on-blue tackle twill and Perry's No. "36" sewn on the left chest and verso in like fashion. Blue-yellow-blue vertical braid striping accents the shoulder seams from the collar opening to the sleeve end. A Rawlings main label Size 46 with a small white flag tag reading "Set 1 1982." The plated NOB appears in blue tackle twill. Perry has signed and inscribed the front in blue marker, adding his inscription "5-6-82, #300." The item reveals evidence of light wear and shows no signs of repair or alteration.
