Presented here is Hall of Famer Yogi Berra's game jersey worn as a Yankees coach during the 1980 season. Berra has signed this jersey on the lower right-hand side of the front just under the NY patch. In the neck of this pinstripe jersey is a white label reading "Berra 80 2" which is done in blue chain stitch. The numbers denote the year and set number, respectively. On the left front tail is the "Wilson" label with the size "44." On the left breast is the iconic "NY" crest and on the back is Berra’s since retired number "8." Both the logo and the number are made of blue tackle twill. There is a memorial armband on the left sleeve. The jersey shows appropriate wear with no evidence of alteration of any kind.
