Hall of Fame relief pitcher Bruce Sutter played for three different clubs during his outstanding 12-year MLB career. This lot features a game used Louisville Slugger bat that Sutter swung during the early ‘80s when he was in the midst of earning All-Star nods for the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals. The uncracked, 34-inch and 33.5-oz. ash bat (model #K55) is stamped on the barrel with “Sutter” in block letters and shows plenty of bat rack, cleat marks and ball impressions throughout. Both the tip of the barrel as well as the bat knob have “42” (Sutter’s uniform number) written in black marker. Sutter collected nine hits during the course of his big league career and added six runs batted in. Game used bats from Hall of Fame pitchers are very tough to find in the hobby, making this a unique fill for any serious bat collector.
