From the greatest player in the history of the Kansas City Royals franchise comes this stunning 1978 George Brett powder-blue Royals road gamer, a superb artifact from the man who was the heart and soul of the great Kansas City squads from the 1970's and 1980's. The Hall of Famer wore this remarkable jersey in a season when the Royals won a third consecutive American League West title, and topped it off with an historic three-homer game in the League Championship Series that fall. The pullover jersey boasts an A9.5 rating from MEARS, the one half point being noted because of minor fraying on the Wilson tag on the collar. That Size 42 tag is affixed directly above a "78" embroidered smaller tag. "Kansas City" in block-letter white tackle twill appears across the front of the shirt; on the Brett's famed No. 5 appears below the block-letter "Brett," both also in white tackle twill. The Royals' circular "KC" logo patch appears on the left sleeve. The shirt shows moderate to heavy game use, with virtually no fraying of the delicate white stitching around letters and uniform number front and back.

Includes MEARS letter of opinion graded A9.5.
