Featured here is a rare Buffalo Braves game-worn road jersey from the rookie season in 1977-78 of sharp-shooting guard Mike Glenn. Originally drafted No. 23 overall by the Chicago Bulls
in 1977, Glenn broke his neck in an off-season auto accident and was soon
released by the team. He made an amazingly quick recovery and was picked up by the Buffalo
Braves later that year. His first season was his only season with the Braves, as he then played for the N.Y. Knicks, Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks, finishing with a 7.6 career scoring average and a highly efficient 54.2% field goal percentage that earned him the nickname, "Stinger."
The blue fine-mesh shirt has "BUFFALO" across the front in white tackle twill outlined in white, with Glenn's No. 14 in the same fashion front and back. His name appears across the back in white tackle twill affixed directly to the shirt. Black and white elastic knit trim is on the collar and yokes. Wilson Size 42 tagging appears on the inside left tail. It shows solid wear overall but remains in outstanding condition despite the passage of four decades, with slight fraying and light puckering on the number and letters. Getty images attached could very well be photo-matches, considering how few sets (or set) of jerseys NBA players had in the 70's.
