Addendum: Jersey was won in 1977-78, not '78-79 as stated in catalog.

Presented here is a Bobby Jones 1977-78 game-worn road jersey from his first season with the Philadelphia 76ers. The 6' 9" power forward out of UNC played his first four seasons of professional basketball with the Denver Nuggets before joining forces with Dr. J, Darryl Dawkins and company in Philly, and eventually helping the Sixers take home the 1983 NBA title. The 4-time NBA All-Star was a reliable scorer and rebounder best known for his staunch defending, having been named 1st Team All Defense eight times.

On the front left tail this royal blue mesh gamer is the Wilson size 42 manufacturer's tag along with washing instructions and a hand-written "4"X LONG" flag tag. Across the front is "Sixers" in the team's classic white-on-blue-on-red tackle twill lettering with his number "24" underneath in white-on-red. Across the back is an arched "B.JONES" in white tackle twill above a large "24" in the same color format as the front. The sides are white with two red piping lines and four red stars running down each seem. The shirt comes all-original with outstanding evidence of wear, namely hardened sweat stains down the sides and soiling near the shirttail. 1977-78 was the last season Philadelphia sported the road blues. This Jones beauty appears to be photo-matched several times in 1978.
