If pro basketball had a "Joe DiMaggio" it would be John Havlicek. Havlicek played with an unmatched skill, elegance and class while winning 8 NBA championships with Boston Celtics on his way to the Basketball Hall of Fame. He passed away in 2019.
Mr. Havlicek's personal and team accomplishments are way too long to list here.
Presented here is "Hondo's" special Celtic green warmup jacket from the 1975-76 season, a campaign that resulted in yet another title for the Boston squad. A Sand Knit Gold Medalist manufacturer tag is sewn in the back collar, with the player's iconic #17 is handwritten on the tags.
The front of the jacket presents CELTICS In bold white letters with gold trim, with shamrocks on both sleeves. A white name plate with HAVLICEK in green letters is velcroed on the back.
Another unique attribute of this jacket is Massachusetts Bicentennial patch sewn on the front left.
