Featured here is a significant piece of game used lumber from the only player to achieve an MVP in both leagues, a member of the 500 home run club, and the first African-American manager, Frank Robinson. Few players have accomplished more than Robinson in the post war history of the game. This game used signature model Hillerich & Bradsby R161M has a handwritten notation, "Bat used in Series" on the handle, providing evidence that it's one of the last bats the great Robinson ever used in a post season appearance.
The bat boasts ball marks, stitch impressions, cleat marks, rack streaks, light pine tar and is uncracked. The weight, "35" appears on the knob in vintage red marker. The length is 35". A phenomenal exemplar from a towering figure in baseball history. Accompanied by a full LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 9 (1B17021).
