Dave Garcia was a coach, scout and manager in Major League Baseball who spent over 65 years in the game. He served as manager of the California Angels (1977–78) and Cleveland Indians (1979–82) and compiled a career record of 307 wins and 310 defeats, wearing this standout jersey in his arrival in the majors as a coach for San Diego in 1970. The garment features "PADRES" arched across the chest in a brown-on-gold felt-tackle twill blend and his No. 2 sewn to the back in like fashion. Brown and gold piping lines the collar and sleeve endings, with a bit of wear to the gold stitching on the collar. Situated on the left front tail, a laundering instructions tag is accompanied by a "SET 1 - #8P - 1970" flap tag and brown chain link stitching identifiers that read: "42 Garcia 2." Within the collar, a "Rawlings" label showing some wear and fraying denotes size "42." Shirt shows light wear and boasts a truly impressive presentation.

Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
