Through 10 seasons in the ABA and NBA with the New Orleans Buccaneers/Memphis Pros, Utah Stars and Washington Bullets, guard Jimmy Jones averaged 16.6 points and 4.5 assists per night. This lot features a 1970-72 era Utah Stars game-worn shooting shirt that has been attributed to Jones during his three years with the team. In the middle of his tenure in Utah, the Stars won the ABA championship in 1971. The blue, short-sleeved, button-down road warm-up boasts a circular Stars logo patch on the left chest area with the proper Rawlings (size 36) manufacturer’s tag sewn into the rear inside collar. The sleeves, collar and waistline all feature a red and white striped patter. Garment shows moderate wear. Classic ABA era piece.
