Talk about an important artifact: the game-worn home flannel from 1970, Steve Garvey's rookie campaign for the Los Angeles Dodgers, signed and inscribed as well by the 10-time All-Star and 1974 National League Most Valuable Player. The home flannel is in wonderful condition, with the bold blue Spalding tag on the collar with smaller "42" tag attached, and the washing tag on the front left tail, with "Set 1, #8P, 1970" smaller tag attached. Above the laundry tag is the embroidered "Garvey" and "42 70." As noted, the shirt is in standout condition, jostled only by slight pilling on the No. 6 on the the back; Garvey has signed "Best Wishes, Steve Garvey" on the inside back of the shirt above his number. This is a key piece in the archive of one of the most impactful Dodgers in the club's half century-plus on the West Coast.
