Being the MVP of the 2nd ever ABA All-Star game was tall order from any player, and Dallas Chaparral's 6'9" forward John Beasley was up to the task. John led the West All-Stars to victory with a "double-double" of 19 points and 14 rebounds, and added 2 assists, beating an East squad that had the likes of future Hall of Famers Louie Dampier and Mel Daniels.
The reward for John's efforts that day in Louisville was this impressive piece of nearly 4 foot high hardware, a classic basketball trophy engraved to the 1969 MVP. This amazing ABA archive has been in Mr. Beasley's personal archives until now, so we are proud to present it fresh to the hobby, a tall reminder from the beloved hoop league full of tall tales that changed basketball forever.
Also included is an autographed 8" X 10" photo of a beaming Beasley, posed with this trophy right at the conclusion of the game.
