Roger Maris employed this bat during his penultimate season in the big leagues. After helping power the Yankees' run of five successive pennants during the early 1960s, Roger Maris left the chaos of the Big Apple for the more the laid-back Midwest when the St. Louis Cardinals acquired Maris in a trade following the 1966 season. Maris’ twilight seasons spent in the Gateway City were productive with the Redbirds winning two N.L. pennants and a World Series title.

This Roger Maris 1967 Hillerich & Bradsby professional model 016 bat measures 35 inches and weighs 33.4 ounces. It exhibits evidence of moderate use with a handle crack and checking (grain swelling) on the back barrel from repeated ball contact which both have been repaired. Several ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the left and back barrel. Cleat impressions can be seen on the right barrel. There is a light coat of pine tar on the handle.

Includes full LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA.
