The ABA was a colorful league, literally and figuratively, and the apparel from many of the teams is classic and iconic among basketball aficionados. Such a team was the Pittsburgh Pipers.

Presented here is a colorful and heavy Pipers warmup jacket, attributed to guard Chico Vaughn. The bold orange and white lettering and trim look absolutely beautiful on the blue fleece. The jacket shows very limited wear.

The Pipers only existed in 1967-68, which was an ABA championship season for the Pittsburgh squad. Chronicled in the book FOUL by David Wolf, the Pipers were led by Connie Hawkins and other stars like Mr. Vaughn.
