One of the home grown heroes of the 1969 Amazin' Miracle Mets World Champions, Jones played a big role in getting them there with a .340 average during the season and a .429 mark in the League Championship Series. He also was 2nd on the team in home runs, runs scored, and rbi's. A Met fan favorite, he played 12 of his 13 years in the majors with the Mets.
