When this card first came to market, Rose was just beginning to build the legacy of "Charlie Hustle". The young player pictured here would later become the leading scorer in the history of the game. The 1963 Rookie of the Year went on to earn the title of the hitting king, but not before he initially failed to score in the first eleven attempts of the season, only to triple off against the right-hander Bob Friend. Nobody at that time could have predicted that Rose would not only score 4,255 more hits but would also remain unrecognized on the Cooperstown wall. The card has been evaluated as PSA Mint 9. Out of more than 4,000 evaluated cards, none of this particular Peter Rose card has reached the Gem MT level. Only 36 cards without any qualifiers have managed to achieve the MINT status. The condition of this card is unquestionably superior, free from any disputes. Its colors, gloss, registration, and corners are virtually perfect. The card is strikingly vivid and pristine, making it a true eye-catcher. PSA MINT 9
