Freshly graded by PSA, this immaculately signed Sandy Koufax #210 base card from the 1963 Topps set received a 10 autograph along with a respectable VG-EX 4 designation for the card itself. Susceptible to wear on the colored bottom corners, '65 Topps challenges collectors to find examples in above-average condition. This one qualifies with strong centering, clean borders and terrific picture quality of Koufax with that intense, focused look on his face. The only signed VG-EX in the PSA pop, it stands now as the 13th highest (six EX, three EX-MT, and two EX-MT+) among 38 total dual-grade examples. (Of course, we don't know how many of those got 10 auto grades.)
Most importantly, the legendary southpaw's fine blue pen autograph is perfectly executed across the torso of his Dodgers road jersey. Our consignor, who built an amazing collection of vintage autographed cardboard over several decades, got this card signed by Koufax in-person at a collectibles show many years ago.
