ADDENDUM: MB lowered due to fact that initially this ball was presented as a 1961 WS ball.
Offered here is a lovely 1963 New York Yankees A.L. Champions team signed baseball with Mickey Mantle (8.5/10) and Yogi Berra on the sweet spot. Roger Maris has also penned his bold signature (8.5/10) vertically -- just left of his two Hall of Fame teammates -- so that it's also visible from the front vantage point, giving the ball outstanding eye appeal.
The 1963 New York Yankees, led that year by AL MVP Elston Howard, Joe Pepitone and Tom Tresh, won their 14th pennant in the previous 17 seasons (they'd make it 15 of 18 in '64) and faced off against their former crosstown rivals in the World Series. But it was the L.A. Dodgers who swept the Yanks this time. Mantle played in just 65 games due to a broken foot suffered trying to rob Brooks Robinson of a home run. Maris missed 64 games himself due to back issues. Berra's career was winding down and he only appeared in four more games for his career following the '63 season.
The 17 total signatures are all done in blue ballpoint of varying strength on the creamy, lightly toned Rawlings Official League baseball. Others include Howard, Tresh, Tony Kubek, Clete Boyer, Hector Lopez, Ralph Terry, Johnny Sain (pitching coach), Stafford, Long (twice), Reniff and Gonzalez. Comes with a full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
