From the great Cardinals infielder during the club's heyday in the 1960's comes this attractive game-worn road jersey. The team's starting second baseman literally from his arrival in St. Louis in 1960 to 1971, he was a key contributor and two-time All-Star, along with being part of the World Series champions of 1964 and 1967. This grey wool button-down garment features “Cardinals” across the chest with two cardinal birds perched on a bat in red-yellow-and-midnight navy stitching. The number “25” has been sewn on the back in red-on-navy felt appliqué. A Rawlings main label size 40 appears on the left front tail and “Javier 61” has been stitched in red chain link onto the fabric below the main label. On the interior tail flap is a washing instructions label with a "Set 1 1961" flap tag. Solid wear, but remains in outstanding condition.
