Absolutely gorgeous Rookie from the young gold medalist who established himself as one of the most controversial figures in American sports history. This PSA NM-MT 8 Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali) is a rare treat from the pages of Hemmets Journal, a Swedish periodical that produced a special edition that featured trading cards of an array of athletes to watch at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome.  Cassius' card would prove to be the most significant of the cards issued as he emerged victorious from those games and is by far the most desirable of the group put out by Hemmets.  The hand cut example offered here displays rich beautifully preserved color and image of the young champion and exhibits white borders and is fairly well centered. There are only eight examples graded higher as of today's PSA population report with only one example ever being deemed GEM-MINT.
