This jersey presents an interesting mystery. It originates from the personal collection of Dodgers Hall of Fame manager Walter Alston and bears his number “24”, a number exclusive to Alston since he took the helm in 1954.The front tail, however, features the name “Wallace,” a name which does not appear on any Dodgers roster from the period.  This road jersey from the Dodgers World Championship season of 1959 features "Los Angeles" applied in classic Dodger blue felt lettering across the chest, with Alston's No. 24 in red felt on the front and repeated in blue on verso. Tagging on the front tail includes a Spalding label, adjacent size “40” tag, and “Wallace 59” in blue chain stitch. Inside the front tail is a wash tag and adjacent “Set 1 1959” flag tag. The completely original and unaltered jersey exhibits excellent game use and is problem free.

Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Family of Walter Alston.
