Joe Morgan, or the "other" Joe Morgan as he is often dubbed, was an outfielder briefly in the majors from 1959 to 1964, but later gained considerable success as the manager of the Red Sox in the 1980s, winning a pair of improbable Eastern Division titles and earning a lot of affection from Boston's faithful along the way. His final major league managerial totals: 301–262 (.535) over 3½ years, all with the Red Sox. This cool jersey was worn by Morgan in his rookie year appearance with the Milwaukee Braves in 1959. The shirt is in super condition yet showing game use. The black felt Tomahawk is elegantly adorned with delicate gold-and-red stitching; the red felt script "Braves" on the front and his No. 19 front and back are also in great condition, as is the iconic "Screaming Brave" mascot patch on the left sleeve. The zipper-front (working) jersey carries the Wilson Size 42 tag on the front-left tail; "Morgan 1959" is embroidered in black stitching on a tag on the back collar. The jersey shows game use and is in problem-free condition.

Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
