The 1959 Home Run Derby baseball set consists of 20 black-and-white cards measuring 3-1/4” by 5-1/4”. American Motors produced this unnumbered issuance to coincide with the abundantly popular Home Run Derby television series. Each blank-backed card displays a player posing “in-action” or as portraits with their name and team at the bottom. In this example, the great Dick Stuart is in portrait mode holding his bat. Though the card shows signs of aging and the surface could be cleaner, this is still a nice entry-level card into this unique set.
