Full home white Pirates uniform was sported at Forbes Field by shortstop and pinch runner Buddy Pritchard, whose Big League career was comprised of 23 games in service of the 1957 Bucs. Flannel vest features classic Steeltown styling, with "Pirates" applied in black and yellow felt to chest and number "5" taking up the rear. "Rawlings Hall of Fame Flannel" and size "38" labels appear at lower left front tail, just above numbers "5" and "57" embroidered into the jersey body, representing jersey number and year. Washing instructions label and "Set 1 1957" flap tag are found inside tail. The black undershirt is not a period piece but provides the proper aesthetics. Matching pants feature the same "Rawlings" labeling, though flap tag indicates "Set 1 1955." Embroidered swatch below notes "39, 25 ins" indicating original ownership by pitcher Jake Thies. Jersey and pants exhibit strong wear but no damage.
