Offered here is a scarce 1956 Atlanta Crackers 10K gold Southern Association Championship players ring presented to Charlie Bicknell. Atlanta finished the season in first place for the Southern Association with an 89-65 record. Bicknell was a pitcher for the Crackers who appeared in 30 Major League games for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1948 and 1949. Other notable Crackers teammates include Joey Jay, Don McMahon, Terry Fox, Chet Nichols, and Sammy Taylor. The ring features an authentic diamond atop a nice red stone. A ball and crossed bats design is featured on each side along with a "1956" on one side and a large "A" on the opposite. The inner side of the band is stamped with "10K" denoting the ring's makeup. "Charles Bicknell" and "Pit." are also inscribed denoting the player's name and position. The bottom of the band has been disconnected but the ring is still in wearable condition. Size: 6.5.
