There was no shortage of star power on display in the 1956 Midsummer Classic at Griffith Stadium in Washington, D.C. The game featured home runs by four all-time legends -- Willie Mays, Stan Musial, Mickey Mantle and Ted Williams. Musial's two-run shot in the seventh put the NL ahead, 7-3, which was the final score.
Presented here is a high-grade OAL (Harridge) baseball featuring 30 members of the 1956 AL All-Star squad. Hall of Famers and keys include Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, Whitey Ford, Yogi Berra, Billy Martin, Nellie Fox, Al Kaline, Early Wynn, Elston Howard, Chuck Dressen (SS), etc. “1956” is written on the ball in an unknown hand. Autographs are mostly 7-8/10 on a minimally toned, blemish-free ball. Casey Stengel has been deemed clubhouse by PSA/DNA.
