PSA GOOD 2 full unused ticket to Game 1 of the 1955 World Series between the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers played at Yankee Stadium on September 28, 1955. It was the sixth World Series contested between the Yankees and Dodgers; the Yanks had won each of the five prior matchups (1941, 1947, 1949, 1952, and 1953). In the 7th inning of the opener, after a single and error by third baseman Gil McDougald put runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out, Don Zimmer hit a sacrifice fly to score one run. Then Jackie Robinson famously stole home to cut the Yankees' lead to 6–5. But that was a close as Brooklyn got. Whitey Ford pitched eight strong innings for the win (his 2nd of 10 career WS wins), and Bob Grim saved it with a scoreless ninth to give the Yanks a 1–0 series lead. 'Dem Bums would go down 2-0 and claw their way back finally get their sweet revenge and defeat the Yankees in seven.

The ticket comes in good shape with nice colors, smooth corners and edges for the most part and light soiling on the front and back. There is a little bit of paper loss on bottom of the back. Pop 2 with only two graded higher.
