Classic 13" by 20-3/4" advertising piece features a die cut team picture of the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers set within a cardboard frame. Honoring Brooklyn's only world championship team, these signs were distributed to bars and retailers offering Schaefer beer. The uniquely designed display features three rows of players die cut and spaced so as to create a three-dimensional effect. The elaborate design of this fragile cardboard display piece makes it extremely susceptible to damage. This example has fared better than most with minor creasing and wear mostly affecting the hinged points and the outer edges of the frame. Apparent EX condition. This piece has been expertly mounted in a beautiful, high-quality shadowbox frame with overall dimensions of 30” x 23” x 2”.
