Jim “Junior” Gilliam made his major league debut with the Dodgers in 1953 after spending five seasons with the Negro National League’s Baltimore Elite Giants. He was the Dodgers leadoff hitter for most of the decade and won four World Series championships. Offered is a 1954 Topps example signed by Gilliam in bold blue pen. Gilliam’s penmanship was given an 8 autograph grade by PSA/DNA, while the card itself was graded Good+ 2.5 by PSA. This is the only dual-graded example in the PSA population report.
