Presented here is an absolute cardboard treasure and one of the most significant vintage rookie cards in the hobby. This 1954 Topps #128 Hank Aaron is graded NM-MT 8 by PSA, making it among the top 3% ever graded by PSA and SGC out of nearly 9,000 in the combined population reports. The iconic card captures a young and determined Hank Aaron in his Milwaukee Braves uniform, emanating an air of promise and potential. The timeless design features a full-color portrait image of the young slugger along with a smaller black-and-white image of Aaron fielding a grounder.

This near-flawless example showcases an extraordinarily bright orange background with a crystal-clear shot of Aaron's face, along with a super clean surface, snowy-white borders, razor-sharp corners and smooth edges. The only blemish keeping it from joining elite company in the 8.5 or better group is its horizontal centering. And, as we know from recent prices, the difference between an 8 and 8.5 is well over six figures. Makes you wonder if this gorgeous copy would have a chance to get there with another grading company. As it stands now, only 56 cards (42 at PSA, 14 at SGC) are in that elite group. Representing one of the most significant players in baseball history, this card is truly a necessity for any high-end baseball card collection.
