Offered in this lot is an exciting addition for any baseball collector, the 1954 Topps near complete Baseball set of 248 with (3) SGC graded examples. The 1954 set was the first introductioin to the use of multiple photographs on a card. Designed with a player portrait in color and a black and white action shot, the card fronts also came in a variation of colorful backgrounds, including white, yellow, light blue, green, red, orange, and dark orange. Additionally, the front of the card also included the player's name, position, team logo, and a facsimile signature. The backs included statistical and biographical information, card number, player write up, and a cartoon frame with animated photos. The backs of the cards were white, black, red, green, or flesh-tone color schemes.
