In 1954, Look Magazine recognized the top collegiate football players by creating its own All-America Football Team. This official Voit XF9 Football, christened with Look’s 1954 All America lettering in black, was signed by several members of the team – in various colors of ink – including future NFL stars like Alan “The Horse Ameche (Wisconsin), Rod Beagle (Navy), Darris McCord (Tennessee), Tom Bettis (Purdue), Ralph “Goog” Guglielmi (Notre Dame), Howard “Hopalong” Cassidy (Ohio State), Dicky “Forty-Seven” Maegle (Rice). Signatures are mostly legible and rate a 6-7/10.
Includes a letter of provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
