This is the first card in the 1952 Bowman set, and it features 1951 AL MVP and New York Yankee icon Yogi Berra "leading off" the set. The 1952 Bowman issue displays beautiful artwork, like Yogi in his pinstrpes here.
In addition to troublesome centering and staining on the reverse, these cards are subject to degrees of toning along the edges, so a "7" of card #1 for a player the stature of Berra doesn't come along every day.
