Offered here is a 1950's set of bronze statues issued to an executive of the Newark Bears (Yankees affiliate), one of the most successful minor league franchises in baseball history. Originally created in 1910, the trio of masterfully rendered baseball figurals by artist P. Testi was reproduced in hollowed out bronze decades later. The catcher is the rarest member of the group, crouched to a height of 8.5" with a 5" wide base and weighing over two pounds. The pitcher stands 9.5" tall with a similar size base and weighs just under two pounds. The batter rises 9" atop a 2.5" x 6" rectangular base, coming in at a pound and a half. Rounding out the lot is an 8" long, 4" wide bronze bear (nearly 2 lbs.) in honor of the Newark baseball team. "P.Testi N.Y." is inscribed on the base of the pitcher and and "P.Testi 1910" appears on the catcher's base. Each piece comes in terrific condition for its age with light wear and handling (no chips, cracks or condition issues to speak of). Includes LOA from Newark Bears family member.
