This elegant circa 1950 20th Century Fox studio portrait exquisitely captures Marilyn at the very height of her fame, her beauty elegantly emerging from carefully placed shadows and light, leaping from the printed sheet. To complete this beautiful portrait is Marilyn’s expressive blue pen signature along with a personalized message reading, “To Al Bacus, my deepest thanks and warmest regards.” The 8” x 10” piece has some light wear along the edges. The reverse is bare except for “witness original (illegible)” in black ink.
For sake of market value, a 14x11 signed personalized photo sold in August 2021 at auction for $63,000 without a graded a signature.
