Phil Rizzuto professional model baseball bat c.1950-51. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Rizzuto facsimile signature in the barrel measures 34.5" long and weighs 33.75oz. Model number "H117" is stamped in the knob and factory records indicate that he ordered this model, with these specifications, in 1950 and 51 specifically. Uncracked with some light evident use including a handful of faint ball and stitch marks and what may be a few rack streaks. The outlines of a pair of narrow rings appear on the barrel (suggesting that something was likely affixed at one point). A choice example dating to the height of Rizzuto's career and he would claim the American League M.V.P. award in 1950. The Yankees won back to back World Series Championships in 1950 and 51 to make for (3) in a row (having won in 1949 as well). Rarely offered and one of only a handful we have handled. Includes LOA from MEARS (graded "A6.5"): EX
