This outstanding Chesterfield Ad brings together the greatest ballplayers of 1947. From the National League we have the league’s MVP Bob Elliott who would go on to lead the Boston Braves to the 1948 pennant; Cincinnati Reds ace Ewell Blackwell who won 22 games including 16 consecutive complete games; and Stan Musial who would be that season’s NL MVP. The American League is represented by Ted Williams who won back to back batting championships in 1947 and 1948; Joe DiMaggio the 1947 AL MVP; and Bucky Harris who managed the Yankees to their 11th World Championship in 1947. Each of these superstar’s portraits are enhanced by the green diamond and bright red background. The famous “ABC” Always Buy Chesterfield slogan is along the bottom in golden yellow letters. Measuring 21” x 22."

What sets this example apart from others we've offered is the Williams, DiMaggio and Musial autographs that have been placed in bold sharpie above each respective player's placement on the ad.
