Joe DiMaggio epitomized grace on the baseball diamond, both at bat and in center field. Many rate his 56-consecutive-game hitting streak in 1941 as the top baseball record of all time. "The Yankee Clipper" used an unusually wide stance in winning two batting championships and three MVP awards. In 13 seasons he amassed 361 homers, averaged 118 RBI annually and compiled a .325 lifetime batting mark.

This 36-inch 35.6-ounce H&B model D29 bat is documented by factory records as having been issued to DiMaggio during his watershed 1947 season during which he won the American League MVP.  The scarce professional model bat is of the “small knob” variety. It is all original and remains in an excellent state of preservation with nice manufacturer’s markings, however the bat shows no evident use. Regardless, it’s vintage and overall aesthetic quality make this a very desirable keepsake from one of DiMaggio’s greatest seasons in baseball.  LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA.
