Great looking 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series Press pin. Once again the Dodgers were matched up against their crosstown rivals the New York Yankees, but this time they had an exciting new rookie in their line-up, 1947 Rookie of the Year and future Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson. Unfortunately the result would be the same as 1941 with the Yankees again taking the World Championship. It would take four more tries before the Dodgers could eventually win it all from the hated Yankees. Center features a raised image of the Brooklyn Bridge with a bat running through it and a script "DODGERS" running across. Around the edge in gold on blue enamel is "WORLD SERIES PRESS 1947". Some tarnish around post on back. Otherwise front displays beautifully.
