On July 8, 1941, the best-of-the-best from each league convened at Detroit’s Briggs Stadium to fight for All-Star Game supremacy. In the bottom of the ninth, the score was 5-3 with the N.L. in the lead when Ted Williams came to the plate after Joe DiMaggio had just brought in a runner but left two on. Williams cranked a fastball over the fence for a legendary walk-off home run to win the game, 7-5.

Presented is an official program from the game, signed by members of the AL and NL All- Star squads. The players and coaches have signed on the inside next to or near their respective image. The clean black fountain pen signatures include: Gehringer, Delmar Baker, McKechnie, Joe DiMaggio, Travis, Foxx, Doerr, Williams, Dom DiMaggio, Cullenbine, Heath, Keller, Feller, Lee, Benton, Ruffing, Hudson, Russo (clubhouse), E. Smith, Dickey, York, Hayes, Cronin, Gordon (clubhouse), Keltner, Tebbetts, Appling, Boudreau, Walters, Warneki, Passeau, Derringer, Owen, Lopez, Hack, Vaughan, McCormick, Mize, Frey, E. Miller, Slaughter, Moore, Nicholson, Elliott and coaches Mervyn Shea, Jimmie Wilson, Arthur Fletcher and Dave Keefe. The program is in VG-EX condition with a vertical crease that runs through the middle. A great piece of baseball history, likely signed by the players at the game including the days heroes Williams and DiMaggio!
