Excellent and scarce 1938 New York Yankees team signed Spalding baseball with Hall of Famers Lou Gehrig and Kiki Cuyler on the sweet spot. The vintage-toned baseball includes 20 signatures total with six Hall of Famers including Bill Dickey, Red Ruffing, Lefty Gomez, and Earle Combs. The opposite sweet spot on the ball has been penned in with "WATERFRONT PARK ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. 2/33/38" denoting when the signatures were gathered, presumably during a New York Yankees Spring Training event. A beautiful ball overall with many important signatures. This team would go on to win their 7th World Series in October led by the very players who autographed this ball. This lot is accompanied by a full LOA from PSA/DNA (Cert. #: H55101).
