No, they aren't made of real leather as the card name implies, but they are textured to suggest a leathery surface. The oversized 6" x 8" fragile cards are rarely found in higher grades.
Presented here is a 1936 beauty, the highest graded example in SGC's population for this card, featuring the trio. For those of you scoring at home, the 1936 Yankees won the American League and the World Series with the pictured players in the starting lineup.
