Offered here is a high grade example of Lou Gehrigs most celebrated baseball card. The #61 card from the 1934 Goudey issue is graded an immaculate NM-MT 8 by PSA. This beauty is a wonder to examine and has tremendous eye appeal. With bright colors, this striking piece of art work of the Iron Horse is one of his most sought after and recognizable images. Not only is this card special for Gehrig collectors but it's also the same year he captured the AL Triple Crown, hit 49 bombs along with 165 RBI while averaging .363. This spectacular offering has well-defined corners and is a great commemorative piece from Gehrig's fantastic performance from the year. Great centering and a super clean reverse are also of note on this beauty. Only four copies are graded higher on the PSA consensus as of the writing of this piece and the most recent sale of a PSA NM-MT 8 example sold for over $100,000.
