Marvelous oversized 8-1/2" x 10-3/4" Type 1 photograph of Ruth in full swing at the 1934 Tour of Japan. This important event popularized baseball in Japan and is one of the cornerstone reasons the Japanese have a major league level that pumps out talent of the likes of Shohei Ohtani today.  Ruth is shown batting and in his back swing for the United States team at Meiji Jingu Stadium in Tokyo, Japan wearing his legendary "U.S." uniform.  Ruth's twisting swing is one of the most famous shots from that highly influential and important tour and displays perfectly in the PSA/DNA TYPE 1 jumbo holder.  The clarity of this photograph can't be understated and there are almost no blemishes to note save for a small 2" crease on the lower right quadrant and a small imperfection at the top left corner where there appears to be a small piece of tape and a fractional amount of paper loss.  The reverse has the number "22" written in pencil in the bottom left quadrant and the top border has some dirt residue probably left behind after some adhesive was removed at one point in time.  Encapsulated and Authenticated Type 1 by PSA/DNA and is accompanied by a full LOA from PSA/DNA which can be found by scrolling the images in the listing.
