Featured here is a fantastic action shot of Rogers Hornsby, whose Hall of Fame credentials are legendary: 2-time N.L. MVP, 2-time Triple Crown winner, 7-time N.L. batting champion and a 1926 World Series title with his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. Snapped in 1933 by a Cardinals team photographer in Hornsby's final season with the club, the second baseman is pictured fielding a grounder as he looks up at the camera. The reverse has a stamped date "APR 17 1933" and a significant Cardinals team stamp from Eugene F. Karst who was MLB's first official team publicist. Condition is flawless.
