Heinie was one of the best hitters of the 1920s and 30s, winning the AL batting title in 1926 and hitting a career .330 in 17 big league seasons. He was also among the best defensive outfielders of his time, often leading the league in put outs and fielding percentage. Manush was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1964.
