Lefty Grove burst into the majors like a meteor. He had already won 108 games with the minor league Baltimore Orioles before he made his MLB debut in 1925. Grove’s record from 1927 to 1933 stands at an unbelievable 172-54 with a 2.74 ERA as he led the league in wins four times and earned two pitching Triple Crowns. Lefty was an integral part of the 1929 to 1931 A’s club that won three pennants and back-to-back World Championships. Released at the very height of his pitching greatness, Lefty Grove’s 1933 Goudey card is among the most visually beautiful of all Hall of Famer career-contemporary cards. Solid PSA NM-MT 8 corners with a clean border.
