In one of the worst trades in Senators history, Washington traded the young Buddy Myer to Boston in 1925 for a player named Topper Rigney. Three years later Washington had to give up five players to get him back, but it was well worth it. Myer was one of the league’s best second basemen and would help lead the Senators to a pennant in 1933. The 2-time All-Star won the AL batting crown in 1935 and would retire with a .303 career average. This example of his 1933 Goudey card shows very nice centering on the front and a clean back, grading out at a PSA NM 7.
